We specialize in creating magical moments: fairytale stories danced for children, custom-choreographed first wedding dances, powerful entrances for quinceañeras or Sweet Sixteen, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, themed events, and corporate galas. Every style—ballet, folk, musical theater, commercial or Latin genres like salsa and tango—is thoughtfully chosen to reflect you and your unique narrative.
Founded by Karina Terán, who holds an MFA in Dance from Hunter College and a BS in Mass Communications, Artex is rooted in both artistic excellence and thoughtful storytelling. Karina’s career spans classical ballet repertoire, musical theater, international tours, and guest teaching across multiple countries.
Her recent production Aquí y Ahora is staged research into Latino cultural expression among immigrant communities in New York City, and it explores identity, memory, and belonging in motion. Our team is committed to excellence, creativity, and deep connection.
